Interviewed on “The Love Factor” with Kierra T

In response to Pride month, Kierra hit me with some unexpected questions, such as:

‘How should Christian parents approach the issue of LGBT that is being pushed on our kids in today’s schools?’

‘Can a person be gay and Christian at the same time?’

‘What are some signs that a woman’s husband might be cheating on her with men?’

Below are just a few Bible passages relevant to our discussion:

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” 2 Timothy 3:16

Our hearts cannot be trusted. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12

Don’t count on every organization calling itself a church to preach the full counsel of God. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Withholding the truth from people will only do them a disservice and send many to hell. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

We the church cannot serve God and money, just like a person can be gay and Christian. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24

Please God, not people. “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10

“For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.” Acts 20:27

“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38

The Lord God Almighty unequivocally condemns homosexuality as sin across the canon of Scripture, through a variety of inspired authors speaking across a wide diversity of cultures and circumstances (Genesis 1:27, 2:7, 18, 21-24, Leviticus 18:22, 20:13; Romans 1:20-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 1 Timothy 1:10; Jude 7).

Romans chapter 1 ties homosexuality back to the Genesis creation account, solidifying that the Lord’s condemnation of homosexuality as sin applies to you and me today. But it is forgivable sin for those willing to turn away from following their deceitful hearts to be born again and follow Jesus according to His Word:

There is a way out of a gay lifestyle. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
