Elijah’s story is compelling. Before his 20th birthday, he founded a Christian film company, has written and directed films. Steadfast Pictures is a homegrown family endeavor that offers a Christian alternative to Hollywood’s lies and propaganda. Praise the Lord!

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2

Lest we imagine that all “Christian” media stands on the full counsel of God… For the sake of financial gain and approval, much of today’s “Christian” media cherry-picks Bible passages that are pleasing to the ear, ignoring that which does not jive with modern culture. I was pleasantly surprised to see that 2nd Chances stands on solid salvation doctrine. I trust that Elijah & family will continue to stand firm on all doctrines regardless of their popularity (e.g. homosexuality is sin; husband is the head of the home; woman are not called to be pastors or teach men) and trust the Lord to provide (Matt 6:33; Gal 1:10).

The purpose of Writer’s Talk is to encourage writers that the Lord is prodding (but are hesitant) to step out and write. We discussed the writing process and my testimony books. Praise the Lord!
