“Straight” Series

The Straight Series – 3 Ex-Gay Testimony Books

The Church: We Shoot Our Wounded finds an ex-gay prodigal returning to church to meet his resentful older brother. The Lord’s calling requires that he stand for unpopular truth, such as biblical male and female roles. As his message threatens revenue streams and church leaders’ very way of life, he becomes a target. The Lord having promised him a wife, he rejects godly counsel and hastily marries an alluring woman he barely knows. What happens next?

Using himself as the benchmark for imperfection, Matt encourages believing men to survive and thrive in the face of adversity. Regardless of weaknesses and past mistakes or what Satan throws at us through the world or church, the soldier for Christ must Fight to Follow!

Rolling out across four continents, Straight 2: ExGay Adventures in Christ is a collection of missional adventures and misadventures. In his past life, the exgay prodigal cowered back. After leaving behind a filthy gay lifestyle to discover new identity in Christ, Matt is thrown headlong into a trial-by-fire restoration. The Lord uses fear-breaking, faith-building missions to make a man of His servant. Some painful and embarrassing, these are long-delayed, coming-of-age stories! Straight (1): an ExGay Prodigal Story (original testimony book) – Growing up in a rural Christian home, Matt was unable to reconcile faith with feelings. Drawn to the power and glamour of the city, Matt plunged into a life of sin and squandered all he had. Severely addicted, rescue would require the power of God. Straight chronicles the falling away and return of an exgay prodigal son. God’s love and faithfulness are highlighted despite His servant’s betrayal. Spoils of surrender include peace that money cannot buy, resurrection to new life and gratefulness. Praise the Lord! Click here to watch trailer (teaser) video.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
